The VE RETRO ONE prototype was revealed on Saturday 15th March in Melbourne. The Retro One is based on the first of the great HDT cars, the VC. Featuring some great looking body modifications, some pretty cool tweaking motor wise and the essential HDT badging throughout, the VE Retro One is already receiving a great amount of interest.

The VE Retro One is being created by Peter Champion and his team, in the vein that he believes his mate and predecessor, Peter Brock would definitely approve of. "PB was always looking forward, his next project was always his most exciting, and that is the motto that we work by at HDT Special Vehicles". While they are yet to confirm an order for a VE Retro One, motoring writers who have reviewed and driven the vehicle are impressed. Dollar for dollar, the VE Retro One delivers a great looking ride and is very user-friendly. It stacks up well to similar priced vehicles.

While the VE Retro One is starting production, the Champion team are working on the VH, VK and VL Retro
models also. Darren Gillis, HDT General Manager can be contacted on 0429 720 732 if you would
like to enquire further about the VE Retro One.

"The first thing I noticed was the sound. It sounds nice. Like, real nice. All V8-powered VE's should sound like this".
Ben Nightingale, Editor - Street Commodores

"there's just something about this car that makes it unmistakeably HDT"
Josh Dowling, Motoring Writer - Sydney Morning Herald
