Well here we are one year on. We purchased HDT on the 1st August, 2007 and we think we have come a very long way in a short space of time. When I bought HDT I was going to pack it into boxes and close the company. I really wanted to put the company back with my Brock collection and keep it sacred in a way, then it would always be preserved in history. But after looking at the possibilities and thinking about the many conversations I had had with Peter Brock about what could be done if we could ever buy back HDT. I thought in Brockys' words why not "give it a red hot go"

So here we are and what a year it's been, It really is a whole "NEW GENERATION". The small and dedicated team lead by our manager Darren Gillis, have done a remarkable job in many aspects of the business. Here are just a few of the things we managed to get through this year.

  • Reviewed the majority range of HDT products
  • Remade a large number of moulds for many items.
  • Reworked artwork for stickers. Decals and stripe kits etc.
  • Set up our Melbourne Branch and relocated our Sydney branch to new premises. (both very big jobs)
  • Produced our first prototype Retro VE HDT (huge task!!)
  • Sourced and produced 19" Irmscher-like wheels for sale
  • Revisited our merchandise lines for HDT
  • Set up our own E-Bay store on-line (another huge job)
  • Electronically scanned and stored the HDT Build Papers individually (still in progress).
    Re-launched the Authentication Package available to HDT Owners.
