Rumour has it the VH model was Peter Brock's personal favourite. He was once quoted as saying "I have some fond memories of that car. There was defi nitely something special about it". The new VH Retro being produced by today's HDT Special Vehicles' team is no exception.
The VH exterior, with its distinctive body styling, including the mean bonnet scoop and four-post rear wing with the infamous black rubber fi ns fi tted to the top of the guards, sets this model apart from the rest. The six-slat grille, designed to mirror the original VH look, and the 19" Irmscher-look wheels, complete this stunning package. VH Retro is available only in red and white, faithful to the original VH models fi rst produced by HDT under the Brock banner.
As with the VC Retro, the interior has a HDT customised trim set featuring HDT embroidery and fabric; a modern interpretation of the much sought after Herringbone trim in the original VH. Special 'by HDT' badging features prominently throughout the car's interior.
Apart from the distinctive styling the VH also offers a great range of performance options. Available in either Group II, III or IV, along with stage 2 options for Groups III and IV, there's something for everyone. As with its stable mate, HDT have optioned up the performance with HDT cat-back exhaust system which include HDT extractors with twin 2.5 inch stainless HDT branded exhaust tips.
The Dynamically Enhanced Sports Suspension, which provides a sensational driving experience is also an option as is the fully adjustable coil-over suspension system. HDT-branded Brake upgrades featuring large diameter disc and multi-piston calipers go hand in hand with several of the different engine modifi cation packages.
